Overflow loves kids just like Jesus does!
We want them to know that. So we have fun-filled Sundays created just for them:
SPLASH for kids from birth through 5th grade!
SPLASH children’s ministry opens every Sunday morning from 10:00-11:45 and takes place in three theaters/four classrooms at Celebration Cinema. (Yes even the babies have their own theater!) If your child has never been to Overflow, here’s some information you might want to know about bringing your child for the first time.
The Overflow SPLASH team is passionate about teaching kids and excited about sharing God’s love with them. The team nurtures children with that love on Sunday mornings, and then equips parents and caregivers with take-home sheets to continue the discovery and learning at home.
Sunday SPLASH happens in five theaters at Overflow:
BIRTH-24 MONTHS: GUPPIES
Theater 8 (across the hall from the adult service)25 MONTHS ~ 3 Years: STARFISH
Theater 3PRE-K: CORAL FISHIES
Theater 3 with totsYOUNG 5s ~ KINDERGARTEN: SEA TURTLES
Theater 73rd ~ 5th GRADE: DOLPHINS
Theater 6Keeping our kids safe
We want you to know that we take extreme efforts to make sure your child is safe at Overflow Church. No one is permitted past our security checkpoints without proper identification. Proper identification includes a Splash leader ID badge and a family ID number. Upon arrival and checking your child in at Overflow, you’ll receive a name tag for each child and a parent security number. The number on the parent ID card will match with a number on the ID wristband for your child. When you pick up your child, the leader will make sure your security number matches the number on your child. No one can pick up your child without this security number. If your child needs you during church, we will put your security ID number on the screen in the service to alert you to return to your child.
Volunteers in SPLASH
Who are the people in the classroom with your child? Each leader in Splash is a volunteer who attends Overflow Church. They volunteer on a rotating basis to teach children about how much God loves us. Every volunteer goes through a screening process before he/she can serve with children. The volunteer is required to fill out a detailed volunteer application providing information about their past, personal references and permission to do a background check. We check the references and perform a background check. After approval, the volunteer is trained and assigned a class with an age group they love.
Sick Policy
For the health of your child and others in the theater, please do not bring your child if he/she has had any of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, persistent cough, green or yellow nasal drainage or an unexplained external rash. All volunteers agree to uphold the sick policy as well.
