Foundational Classes

 

If you’re new to Overflow we encourage you to attend this block of classes. FOUNDATIONS will be held Wednesdays, 7 – 9 p.m. and will intermix with the Spiritual Practices Group.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS, February 8 and 15

Did you know that when you give your life to Christ, He gives you gifts too? Learn what spiritual gifts are, what they are not, and what the Bible says about them. Then take a spiritual gifts assessment and discover the gifts God has specifically given you.

Do you consider Overflow to be your church home? Then it’s time to dig a little deeper to learn what Overflow is all about. Learn more about what we believe, where we came from, where we’re going and what God has designed for you.

We’re not designed to do life alone, and we believe connecting to a Christ-centered community is essential to your spiritual growth. So if you’re looking to get to know a smaller community or find something beyond Sunday mornings, we encourage you to look into a group.

Women’s Group: Discerning the Voice of God

WEDNESDAYS, 7 PM,  January 11 – February 22
LOCATION:  Overflow Cafe/Offices
LEADER:  Kathy Craig

Priscilla Shirer: Discerning the Voice of GodA book study and video from Priscilla Shirer, designed to help women know the voice of God: His language, character, and tone of voice. By growing closer to God through His Word, participants will learn to discern God’s voice from the voice of strangers. For more information email Kathy Craig.

This group will follow the workbook Discerning the Voice of God, which is required. Assistance in purchasing a book is available if needed.

Women’s Group: The Blessing, for Moms and Grandmas

THURSDAYS, 9 AM,  LOCATION:  Bennett’s Home
LEADER:  Cindy Bennett

Children of every age long for the gift of “the blessing”– the unconditional love and approval that comes from a healthy relationship with parents. The Blessing powerfully communicates Biblically-based elements necessary to prepare children for positive future relationships, including a relationship with a loving God.  The Blessing, a book written by family counselors Gary Smalley and John Trent, is not required to attend the group.
